ID-1383: Add default params for python wrapper. ID-1400: Change to using a shared key so that when running new tests or rerunning old tests work.

The VCR yaml files can be ignored as that's just updating them to now have app_name and app_version.

my first time using vcr, pretty awesome! and perfect timing for this update too, just about to add some tests on my key. good to go
