One of the first issues is also licensing. License as it currently stands will be updated. The reason is that everything is not yet clear how the development of the open source will go. The biggest reason is that all the code for open source is coming from the pro/license edition of DominoCMS, so there is code coming from the commercial application developed for clients.
As the contributors will add their effort and commercial system will continue it's own development, there will be the need to keep the components and functionalities compatible with both commercial and open source system, so some code will migrate back to the commercial application.
These issues will have to be resolved first and all the contributors will need to sign a written waiver for any code that might find it's way back to the commercial edition.
