The game is played on a 4 x 4 grid on your playing table.
In the beginning, you must draw from the face-down deck, one card at a time and play each card individually.
You can place down any card in any empty space on the 4x4 grid, however, face-cards MUST be played on their corresponding spaces as follows:
If you draw either a King, Queen, or Jack, they must be placed in an open space that is reserved for that specific card. If no space is available... You lose the game and should try again!
If you draw a 10, you will automatically discard it into the discard pile, and not place it onto your game grid. The 10's serve a different purpose in the game and are not needed.
Once the grid has been safely filled with all 16 cards and you have avoided getting stuck with a face-card, you can begin to remove NON-face-cards from the grid in sums of 10. (i.e. 8 and 2, 7 and 3, 6 and 4, 5 and 5, or 9 and ACE)
If you have been able to discard a couple pairs or more, you continue playing the game until you have reached the end of the deck. To successfully win the game, you must clear the entire deck with each face card in it's designed spot.
