correct me if im wrong but in spoolman when adding a new spool of filament at the bottom right corner it shows a 1 by default and a + and - symbol next to it:
Indeed, but the result is you have 20 lines (one per filament). It should great to see just “quantity -20”, avoiding duplicate a lot of spools you have.
Maybe having multiple spools collapse into one if they are unused could be a cool feature. But adding a "quantity" field would not be in line with how the rest of Spoolman is defined. You're meant to have a unique ID for each spool so you can label them etc.
maybe a counter how many spools per filament so you have a quick overview?
to add to this maybe also an empty counter? (accompanied by Hide Empty option?)
this way we can track how many are still usable and how many are empty so we can keep track of which we use most.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I have some same spool filaments (10 Sunlu Black PETG, for example) and I cannot set the quantity of a spool when I create it. The current mode is to duplicate the same spool, and it’s unfriendly and “dirty”.
Describe the solution you'd like Just to add a field “Quantity”, and maybe “Quantity Opened”. Taking into account that “Quantity opened”, I agree to duplicate the spool in order to setup another “location”.
Describe alternatives you've considered The alternative I’m considering is to use the field “Lot Nr” to use as a “counter of spools”
Thank you!
