What I've been doing during public events (before wordart came out) was to frame the words. Then I stylised the dot into a spiral that connected to the frame. eg: This was usually for the adults who don't like doodling, but love their own names/signatures. With the frame, they can also pin it up on their office desks. I have yet to test out the wordart feature on the public though, so i may get new ideas from the public when they see it.
That is a interesting workaround weiin. Let us know how this goes.
Some info on how we converted the current font: http://doodle3d.com/help/creating-wordart-font
The font we currently use is Copse: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/copse
Can we find a nice way to connect all the letters and letter parts that WordArt generates? Maybe horizontal lines on the first few layers? Something with as little material as possible so that it can be printed quickly. Not quite sure how to connect the dot of the i for example. An extra line to the i in the WordArt font would create a line just as thick and high as the rest of the font, which is probably not desired. Maybe we can determine heights for some horizontal bars that will connect everything? Ideas are welcome.
