a bit UDB ish for בְּיַד־עֲבָדָ֜יו אֳונִיֹּ֗ות‮b‬ וַעֲבָדִים֮ יֹ֣ודְעֵי יָם֒

Consider modified NASB95 (ESV?)

by the hand of his servants sent him ships and servants who knew the sea

The ULB of 2CH 8:18 now reads: \v 18 Hiram sent him ships commanded by his own officers, men who knew the sea, and with the servants of Solomon they went to Ophir and they took from there 450 talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon.
