The impact pathway should also be supported with a quick literature review using relevant keywords and databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, or Scopus. The literature search should focus on the decision maker, the choice, and the impacts identified in the previous steps.
This should also be done for smaller subsections of the model, i.e. a quick review of the literature for each of the variables within the model (not a comprehensive literature review, just a quick look at the literature to get a general overview).
