I hear myself when I call #26

Open MapWin opened 3 years ago

MapWin commented 3 years ago

Build date

dotOS-R-v5.1.1-a64-OFFICIAL-20210620

Expected Behavior

Quiet waiting for connection to the interlocutor when making a phone call.

Current Behavior

When I call someone on the phone (like a built-in call application or Google), I hear myself and my extraneous sounds even before connecting to the interlocutor. (in applications such as telegram and others with a built-in call function, they work fine)

Possible Solution

idk, sorry(

Steps to Reproduce

Just call through the calling app (built-in or google)

/device cactus GSI a64 (found at official telegram channel) /version dot11 /variant vanilla

As this is GSI build, the problem might be from your vendor.

I tested on two different vendors, although you are right, it may have been a bug from both vendors

But at the same time, not other gsi also work well with patches from the phhsson. so most likely this is a firmware bug

i am facing the same issue hearing echo of my own voice when using the built in call it doesn't matter when am in speaker or built in speakers(the upper call speakers) the only way to cancel the noise is to disable the mic. am using DotOS GSI A64A/B (dotOS-R-v5.1.1-a64-OFFICIAL-20210621 via Official website)....... all other gsi's work fine has no this problem.

Someone created a magisk module fix for our device. Don't know if it will work on other devices. E6746_dotOS_Call_Echo_Fix.zip
