I tested on two different vendors, although you are right, it may have been a bug from both vendors

But at the same time, not other gsi also work well with patches from the phhsson. so most likely this is a firmware bug
i am facing the same issue hearing echo of my own voice when using the built in call it doesn't matter when am in speaker or built in speakers(the upper call speakers) the only way to cancel the noise is to disable the mic. am using DotOS GSI A64A/B (dotOS-R-v5.1.1-a64-OFFICIAL-20210621 via Official website)....... all other gsi's work fine has no this problem.
