This is related to this dependency issue in matplotlib https://github.com/matplotlib/matplotlib/pull/21446. Basically, pyparsing must be kept < 3.0.0. This will self-heal with the next matplotlib release which should come this week.

Looks like the issue is resolved with pyparsing in version 3.0.3, see https://github.com/DoubleML/doubleml-docs/runs/4044673507?check_suite_focus=true.
