Add the feature to the window action menu as a sub menu which will
graphically show a grid of available workspaces and let the user to click
on the workspace where he wants to move active window.

I have a suggestion. What about making the selector a sticky popup window in the
center of the screen, and put a WnckPager in it?

it might be a good idea but I think, in the mid / long term, it would be good
to get
rid of linwnck... what's your opinion?

talking about long term: if gnome-shell become real, our horizon will be
suppressed
to xfce -- they came up with a new design recently:

http://student.science.uva.nl/~sqdh/gs-mockup/2/

I don't have any idea how to incorporate either the global menu bar or the
switcher
into gnome-shell.

And does xfce depend on libwnck? GnomeShell doesn't quite depend on libwnck(the
taskpanel temporarily does). Therefore I guess in it will eventually die if not
used
by any big projects.

Libwnck is not too easy to get rid of.
