Really is exceptional global-menu but there are severals errors:

1. The icons with the panel size 22 are really ugly. I see it bad.
2. Select the applications dont work fine.

You can see in the attach file that icon of transmission is ugly.

Would you hide it for now as a workaround? That ugly icon is scaled from the one
reported by the app.

An earlier version of global-menu (0.7.2 I think, but not sure) showed better 
icons.
Also, the alt-tab switcher is able to get larger icons, so why not use these?

Those icons are indeed large. But don't you think they are too large? 

Actually we were using scaled version of these large icons in 0.7.3/4 to fit the
panel's height. 
In the next version we will stick to the default GtkMenu's icons size.
