Do not advise users to use export GTK_MODULES=globalmenu-gnome" with Compiz in ubuntu 9.10 #544

ubuntu 9.10 won't allow you to login (except for failsafe gnome.)

Remove export GTK_MODULES=globalmenu-gnome" from .profile to resolve.

Miraculously, removing it in 9.10 will still allow the menus to disappear
from windows and be put in the applet.

But not doing this causes the preferences not to show correctly, and forcing
users to
go into gconf-editor to edit preferences.

Loading the module via GTK_MODULES has already been deprecated long time ago.
Please
check 'the ChangeLog wiki page'.

The preferences issue is irrelevant. After adding the applet to the panel, log
in/out
to get the preferences working correctly.

I have no clue what is going wrong with a freshly added applet.
