Applications on second monitor do not have a global menu... #547

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Nvidia Twinview setup
2. Firefox on main screen
3. Terminal on second screen

What is the expected output?

When Terminal is active application and on second screen, global menu
should have menu options for Terminal

What do you see instead?

Even though Firefox is open, it is not the active application, however
because its on the first screen, Firefox Web Browser appears in the
globalmenu. When Terminal is brought into the first screen, globalmenu is
then updated to the Terminal menu options.. when Terminal is moved back to
the second screen, the globalmenu shifts back to Firefox web browser.
Globalmenu is not multi-monitor aware.

What version of the Global Menu are you using? On what operating system?

0.7.8 on Ubuntu 9.10

This is intended behavior. To get the global menu on your secondary monitor,
create a
gnome panel there and add another global menu applet in it.

If you want to manage all monitors with a single applet, turn off "per monitor
mode"
from preferences.
