I'm using globalmenu 0.7.9 on archlinux.
If I play any video using smplayer and the output device is xv, all the 
video will be transparent. If the output device is change to gl, only the 
black margin of the video will be transparent and the window on desktop can 
be seen when I was watching the video, not matter in fullscreen mode or 
windowmode.
