F10 (get to menu) does not work in Ubuntu 10.04 #622

First, I apologize -- I do not know the version of global menu I'm on. I just
can't figure out how to get the version number after installing it (from the
preferences of the menu or from the command line).

On 10.04 I installed it via this
(http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-install-globalmenu-in-ubuntu-10-04lucid9-10kar
mic.html) method.

With that said, F10 does not work (enabled in preferences). Anyone have this
issue on 10.04? Let me know how I can assist in debugging this (eg, checking
the version number).

Thanks,

I have this issue, but most bizarrely I have this issue on my desktop but not
my laptop. Both are running 10.04, but the menu keys work on the laptop and not
on the desktop.
