Thank you for the PR @bpinto.
I don't know if you prefer having a 2.4.8 unstable version for a while or if you prefer to have a single stable version.
I usually mark the ebuild as stable
if there is a proper release by upstream; ebuilds are marked unstable only when the package is showing some odd behaviour (i.e.: bugs), or if they need to depend onto unstable ebuilds. This way is simpler to manage the overlay, otherwise it becomes a daunting task.
I removed the old version and upgrade the latest. Let me know if you prefer another approach.
