Run the new DeepSqueak Version on Matlab Runtime (free - on private PC) #199

Hey DeepSqueak crew:-)

I am very new to the software and want to start analyzing rat calls. I already get used to the software functions at University in my working team. Now the big challenge is to use DeepSqueak with Matlab Runtime (free) on my private PC at home to make analyzing process of big data much more comfortable :-) Would it be possible to arange that? I already downloaded and installed Matlab Runtime and downloaded the DeepSqueak package (Version 3.1.0. ) as well. Now my question would be, how I could open the DS Code in Matlab Runtime?

I would be very happy about support :-)

One way to do it without dealing with the Matlab runtime might be to access the computer you have in lab where you're running DeepSqueak, e.g. with Google remote desktop

Be aware uni IT might not be happy about you using this -- but you don't have to tell them 😇

Your uni probably also has a subscription to Matlab that should let you download it for student use under their license--look for a page on their IT site like this: https://it.emory.edu/catalog/computer-and-software/software-distribution.html

That would also let you run at least some code on your machine, again without dealing with the runtime thing
