First open the midi app in the flipper, then open your DAW (digital audio workspace like lmms, fl, or ableton). In your DAW set 'Midi Output' to "Flipper Midi Device". Don't need to set the channel as long as it's not 0. Changing the velocity can change the output on the flipper. No need to define a note either. The sound of the flipper doesn't change if you select a different preset or vst.
I have my velocity set to 70 in LMMS

Hey. I just got my flipper and had a similar idea. Saw that you have already got something up, but I see no docs/instructions on how to use it. I would like to help/test/use this to use my midi keyboard with my flipper in some way, but not sure how. What is the status of this? Can I help? 😬
