Crash when selecting some type of car #229

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
On latest version (win32 v2.0 downloaded today), when I select any other car
than the first four (360/3S/CT/ES), the game crashes.

I tried using D3D and OpenGL, no difference.
I tried setting the lowest graphics details level, no difference.

No log file is created, I attached a screen shot of the error window to this
issue report.

---

On a side note, congrats on the v2.0.
I remember trying this game long ago when the project started, and it's now a
really complete game, fun to play.
Thanks for sharing it!

I forgot to mention that the error occurs when I click on the "Nouvelle partie"
button (green button on the attached screen shot).

Sorry, there are log files, didn't knew where to find those.
These are now attached.

And it seems the problematic thing is :
"ERROR: Can't open sound file: d:\Games\_\StuntRally\data/cars/FM/engine.wav"

OK, yes, that is the problem.
"engine.wav" is only present in the first four car directories.
Copying one into the other car directories correct the problem.

I have no idea what happened, but those files are in installer.
Those engine.wav files should be there.

Did you use our 2.0 installer ? Maybe a problem with download.

OK I re-installed the game and the problem was on my side.

Sorry then for the false report.
And thanks again for making and sharing this game.
