These include fire Tambry normal and toxic
When I get my pc up and running I’ll add the project file
Ok so I have a prebuilt engine wich has most of her moves already so here is what I need added in a wall cling (basically if the player jumps into a wall they cling to it where she can jump off the wall in sort of a waljump) Then there is draco her comrade for this adventure I’ll have his sprites soon so yeah I’ll elaborate on how he works later she can call draco to her when she is falling by jumping in mid air this will be similar to swimming but in air
swiming will disable draco but you can jump infinentlay under water but you will be defenseless (unless you are on ground wich will allow you to do a spindash) however unlike on land you will be slower underwater thankfully swimming is faster but riskier also if your air reaches zero you die but air can be restored by finding bubbles
HUD done
The power up the player has should appear in the blue box on the hud And The stomach represents dracos stamina
Now to explain draco can be commanded to spit fire and eat pacific enemies
He can also be called to carry the player
Now see that gut icon on the hud that’s draco’s stamna when draco eats an enemy he will gain 1 stamina adding one gut juice to his stomach
having draco carry you will cause his stamina to drop
Commanding draco to spit fire will take 4 stamina
And if draco will follow the player no matter what it takes
(look at any sonic2 gameplay with tails folwoing sonic and you’ll get it)
now if draco goes off screen the cursed chain will appear this will put draco on the dead frame in the sprite sheet The chain segments will lead up to Tambry draging draco up the segments until he is ontop of the player
Now he can be damaged and stunned if he gets hit 5 times he will die but he will respawn and be dragged back to Tambry via the cursed chain his damaged sprite is here and his dead sprite is circled in red
Items yay
toxic mushroom The toxic mushroom will turn Tambry into a hulking beast for 20 seconds a theme will play (I’ll get that later) She will auto run but you can change directions by taping left or right any asset she touches will break or die (she can’t break stage tiles like the ground or semisolids) she has a ground pound wich can be triggered by jumping then taping down when the timer ends she will calm down and return to normal
Fire flower
Allows Tambry to shoot fire pfts from her hands (note this uses the same animation as her command animation just with the fire palet) if she takes damage she will lose her fire flower
IMMORTAL STAR This will give the player a invincibility shield for 20 second shields will go over the player wich brings me to my final power up
bubble shield
Busting this capsule open will give the player a big bubble they can preform a ground pound now wich will give them a big bounce that reaches 2x the original jump highs and will give the player land physics underwater and they won’t dround
And now the coins mushrooms and shadow stones Coins collect 10 and you will restore 1 hp Mushrooms will restore 1 hp And green mushrooms will restore 3 hp Coin stacks will give the player however many coins are in the stack and they are effected by gravity and will stack And then the shadow stone get 7 and you’ll unlock the true final boss and true ending
Twist knob
The player can spindash on this when it has been spun 5 times by the player will launch off in whatever direction the where facing last because the twister enters a stuck state this will send a signal trigger to whatever it’s child is
trigger box if the this will be on the trigger layer and if the player touches it it will tigger its child entity
stop box if a redirectable aset touches this it will stop moving although if the asset gets moved back it will continue on its original path
death box if the player touches this they will instantly die
Fire trigger If the player touches this they will enter a burning state
Blocker The player can’t pass through this
Anti camera the camera will not move past this
Passage blocker The camera and player cannot pass though this
CUT If the player touches this they will move to the next scene
Redirectorys If an asset has a child called redirectable they can be redirected with these arrows
All assets trigger box to redirecorys will be on a layer titled funky bits
New triggers are insta warp (as soon as the player touches this they will clip behind all tiles npcs execra and the player can be effected by redirectories in this state until they reach the exit)
And the telawarp wich behaves like the warp pipes in Mario and can have the detonation set and then can also have the entry and exit direction set if you have any questions just hit me up on discord because even I am having difficulty explaining
The question block is a gizmo and will spawn whatever asset it’s has set as a child and each time it is hit it will use change to one of the randomized faces as seen below until all child assets are gone when all child assets are gone it will become a blank block this block cant be broken or hit it will act as a solid tile and it can only be broken by toxic Tambry
Here are the blank block and hit block sprites
Note the brick block behaves simarly but if there is no child asset it will shatter into these sprites And then the big brick these can only be broken by toxic Tambry and big shells And when broken they will spawn one asset and break into these sprites
Big paranna The parannas head will always face the player and if it is hit by a ranged attack it will die (tosable assets count as ranged) the only mele attack that can kill it is toxic tam and or the invincibility star this cannot be eaten by draco
Paranna plant this can be killed in the same way as big paranna+draco can eat it It will ether slink in and out of a surface or it will just sit there
Note mele attacks on parannas will damage the player
Buzzy beetle fire based attacks can’t hurt it it can however be stomped and picked up as a shell after being stomped spin dashing will kill it
Big buzzies these can be spun into and will imedatly go into there shells they can be stomped and kicked like normal buzzies but can’t be picked up no matter what
Worm when the player is in a spinning state the player will bounce off knocking its head in the opposite direction it will play a sound (use a placeholder wisle I get that effect done) and spring back into place after being hit if the player isint in a spinning state they will take damage
Shy-brat(the purple one)will turn on ledges and can be killed in one hit Shy-goom is the exact same but he falls off ledges
Big chompa our first boss So basicaly after an intro cut sceen he will begin to attack by moving towards the player only stopping to burp up enimies Wich draco can eat then use the stamina to generate fireballs Which he can shoot into the mouth of big chompa Big chompa will burp back the fireball and move backwards This will continue until he hits his death point which will have them explode with green particles flying everywhere
