I was putting together my first shuttle and stealthburner backplates and I ran into some tolerance issues with heat inserts and my soldering iron. The first issue is the insert in the shuttle and its more just feedback. The insert went in with no problems but the plastic did bulge a little so I thought I would share that.
The actual problem was with the stealthburner backplate. I have a stealth press zero with the generic soldering iron and the barrel of the soldering iron rubs the plastic of the backplate when putting in the top heat inserts. Here is a picture of the backplate after putting the insert in. I cleaned it up and I'm sure its going to work but again, I thought I would share my feedback if you weren't aware of the issue.
So far this has been a great build so thank you for all the effort.
these aren't issues the tower one is just about being careful there is no other fix. The shuttle is just cosmetic and wouldn't hurt anything, turn down the temp on your iron.
