Hey Dimitar, thanks for the pull request! Sorry it took so long for a response.
Re the code changes, a few months back I did a thorough once through of the project and noticed this same discrepancy. It has since been fixed in https://github.com/DragonBuild/dragon/commit/a0aa6fdd45eacb7ae9a6452585432fe89076fad0 (and the var has been renamed to DRAGON_ROOT_DIR).
