Is there a chance for "py-psutil" in dports? https://pypi.python.org/pypi/psutil

Are you planning to provide a patch to fix the build issues? http://muscles.dragonflybsd.org/latest-failures/logs/errors/py27-psutil-2.1.1.log

Sorry, that's beyond me. I'm a user and need that port for the fantastic admin software "ajenti": http://ajenti.org/

Please note that "ajenti" is already available for FreeBSD: http://support.ajenti.org/topic/349869-installing-on-freebsd-experimental/

But "ajenti" is based on "py-psutil" which is already available in FreeBSD-Ports: /sysutils/py-psutil

Can sombody help patching?

I had a really quick look at the source code and it looks like it needs quite a bit of patching in order to have DragonFly BSD support. Nothing to difficult but it requires time.

Is there someone who can help?

jrmarino commented 9 years ago

this "list" isn't widely published. If you want to request help, the dragonfly user mail list is probably a better bet. Several people have the capability to do this, willingness or motivation to do so is another matter.

by the way, anything that's in ports and not in dports most likely will not build on dragonfly for some reason, so the port in question always needs patching. If it builds out of the box, it's would already be in dports.

Reopen this issue if you have a patch. That goes for anyone that wants to fix psutil.
