Lumberjack #24

Im having an issue with lumberjack. It causes all blocks not just trees to pop while mining going up the wall and across the ceiling of caves sometimes releasing lava. sometimes going all the way to sky level. is there a way to disable this? It happens out of box at level 0. Otherwise I will have to just not use this awesome mod.

I personally like this feature for terraforming purposes, but my problem is that I can't figure out what triggers it. It seems to only happen when I'm not trying for it and don't want it.
