Feature Request: Modify Crafting recpe inputs #8

I want to add Carpenter and Mason classes, that have faster break speed for processed wood and stone blocks respectively, and a 25% chance to get refunded materials whenever they craft with processed wood and stone blocks, respectively. Unfortunately, the latter functionality is not possible with a data pack at this time, and I don't want to make a whole 'nother mod.

If you want to just implement these classes yourself, that would be fine too! XD

Yeah, thanks for the advice! I would like to take such innovation into consideration, but, not within this mod's bound. Though I did modify some features from the fabric version, I'm not going to make the mod more than a forge port. Instead, what I'm going to do is:

  1. Build an Apoli add-on on forge side, and reimplement this mod and many more Origins add-on which I'm going to make on that. Docs are sure to be made by then.
  2. Split combat classes (like warrior, archer...) and utility classes (like clreic, lumberjack...) to 2 separate layers in my own addon, as I feel like it's more reasonable.

So for the first TODO, I'm glad that you pointed out some new power type to make; and for the second TODO, I'm happy you give out some good class ideas on the utility side :) I'll leave this open for now, in case you're not satisfied by my reply.

Okay! That sounds good. You should link the source for the new mod here, and close the issue.

Any progress with this? It sounds like a really neat idea, I'd love to see where you take it. I have more ideas for classes, too, if you want them. XD
