Etymology Tooltip Issue #643

change the logic so that if there’s no long form, it defaults to the local word equivalent.

ORIGINAL POST: Hey, Draque!!!
It's been a little while since I played with my conlanging, but the first thing I did this morning was check for your updates before getting back into my language. I wouldn't dream of doing any langery without Polyglot!

And my suggestion was implemented!!! yeeeeha!!! Etymology/conlang nerds cheer! I love it. One thing that I did notice, though, is that the tooltip popup seems to be spotty. Sometimes it'll come up, sometimes it won't. Is that due to my use of it? Or something else?

It looks like maybe it pulls up the long form definition, rather than the local word value. Is that correct? If so, then it's not a bug, it's just my spotty long-form information (I don't have many filled out, just the local value)

As always... this is AWESOME!!!!

That’s correct, yeah. I might look into changing the logic so that if there’s no long form, it defaults to the local word equivalent.

Also, thank you for the kind words! I am working hard on the next version now, which has some really exciting features lined up. ^^

Gotcha. I've set up a minimal long form entry for all of my words now (just copied the local entry over) and it works!
Maybe a user-option to choose between long form or local word? I only say that because my long form is .... REALLY long and in depth, so it looks bulky in the tooltip.

You're welcome!! Polyglot is genius, man. I love it.
