Thank you for the the great ideas! And sorry for taking some time to get back to you here. PolyGlot has been kind of on the backburner for a bit since my work went a bit nuts! I'll definitely work to include the Romanization on Excel export option, but the logographs on export to PDF will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer. I might be doing a rehaul of the logograph system, and I want to do that before moving on to dependencies like printing.
Add the ability to export romanization in excel exports
ORIGINAL TEXT 1.) This is a vote for enabling the print logograph option in Polyglot. While I could include the numeric symbols involved in the conlang I’m inputting in the same line as the words for the numbers, it’d be nice have them as a separate page in the PDF export. That, and right now there doesn’t seem to be much point to associating words with a logograph when it makes no difference in the compiled dictionaries.
2.) I would also like to request a way to enable the output of Romanization as a column when exporting to Excel. It matters to me because I use non-standard characters for vowels in Romanization to reflect phonemic orthography in the conlang. Another reason is that Excel files can be converted to HTML for web sites, whereas PDFs have to be opened with a viewer and can’t be coded with the site layout and appearance.
3.) A separate option to export to Excel with either the conlang alphabetized by its order or by Romanizations in English order as the first column would also be a nice feature if it isn't too much trouble. That would permit separate web pages to easily be made for Conlang-to-English and English-to-Conlang dictionaries.
