Same behavior here. I am using Macbook Air M1, running Ventura 13.4.1. I have tried connecting DSLogic to my Macbook without a hub and the problem ("The received packet format is incorrect!") persists. Do you need any more data to help you locating the problem?

Same issue here with 1.3.0 GUI, i just unplugged from the USB I had initially connected to and plugged into another USB port and it works. I don't know why, and I don't care at this point, but worth mentioning here.
