Action items following 8/15/2023 meeting with Annaka from PDPH

Informing Training Core of this

• [x] Usama to draft email to Brent and Felice (cc ADR)

  Deciding on “commitments”

• Attend most sessions every other week on date TBD (Fridays?)
• Reading the assigned chapter and working through exercises
• Active participation in sessions

  Deciding on target audience

• Interested in learning R
• No need for prior knowledge (but is fine if some knowledge)
• Staff or students or faculty (right?)
• Max? 5? Should they “apply”?

  Outreach:

• I think we send an email saying we have this opportunity for an intro to R training with PDPH with X format, these are the commitments. Let us know by date X if you are interested.
• Two options for this: UHC-all vs targeted outreach

Right. I think anyone interested in using R.

I think max 5ish is reasonable if we get that many people interested. I think we can gauge interest if a lot of people interested in it then we can do a apply thing.

UHC-all vs targeted outreach

I think it could be both. We can gauge interest for UHC-all... but also send individual invite emails to people we have heard of interested in the past (e.g. Saima, Reyhaneh, Ana-lu, Diana ... etc) would also be useful. (feel like sometimes people just miss mass emails).
