Monkeytype dead keys #24

Hi,

I noticed that i can't type `~ and ^ on monkeytype, it counts it as 2 wrong inputs even though the dead keys are put in the settings_default file.

also depending on the base layout that is overidden i get different inputs everywhere, for example i get no space after typing `~^ etc on azerty but if i switch to qwerty it automatically puts a space just after for some reason

I think you might be better off using the more updated EPKL program. But basically, you need to specify which of your underlying MS layout keys are dead keys, so (E)PKL can send an extra space to release them properly. If you change your OS layout you'll have to account for the change. In EPKL you can specify in the Tables file which dead keys should be used for which OS locale.

I think I need this trick. EPKL, QWERTY with Extend works great with my Windows English US International keyboard. US Inter has dead keys such as quote, followed by the letter e to get é.

I switched my config to Tarmak 1 but now my US Inter dead keys no longer work! What to do?

A key mapped layout such as the Tarmak ones (they use VK mappings) should let through whatever your OS layout is up to, including these dead keys. So far, so good.

There seems to be a bug somewhere, since on the layout I use daily (Colemak-eD2VK CAWS ISO) the OS dead keys work but on its pure VK layout counterpart (Colemak-VK CAWS ISO) they don't. Thanks for alerting me, I'll have to look into this problem.
