Remote for VLC isn't fully working in Linux with VLC v2.1.0 #213

Remote for VLC isn't communicating properly with VLC v2.1.0 in Linux.  I know 
this is a Linux-specific problem because it works fine with that version in 
Windows.

Firstly, Remote for VLC doesn't display the currently playing media.  The 
buttons (e.g. stop) work fine, but the GUI doesn't update.  Setting an Lua HTTP 
password doesn't fix the problem.

Secondly, Remote for VLC doesn't pause playback during phone calls in Linux 
anymore.  This was working fine, so the VLC v2.1.0 update must have done 
something to break it.

This should be fixed in VLC 2.1.1: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/9535
