Homebridge is returning the following:

[Spa] Could not retrieve api key. Status 400

jnance50 commented 1 year ago

I'm experiencing the same issue.

The api of bestways is not very stable to be honest. As I mentioned in the other issue my whirlpool is currently not installed l, but once we prep it up - I will come up with a fix for the reported issues.

The Status 400 issue is still there after update

Can you provide some details on this, don‘t know how I can help you with just one log line.

Did you setup your whirlpool in the bestways smart hub app and are you able to control it from there?

Does your login or password maybe contain some very special characters (of course you shouldn‘t post either of them here but just to confirm).

Did you try to setup the plugin as bridge or accessory?

I just went to holiday, I’ll retry that after returning home, but as far as I can remember, I had it set up and working via the lay-z-spa app last year , didn’t know about a Bestway app. But I’ll give it a try in 10 days.

I have special chars in my password. I tried to change it on Bestway's site but for some reason it's not working. Keeps saying my current password is incorrect. I'll try to reverse engineer the HTTP requests and send it via curl (if possible).

Even after update to 1.2.0 I am getting error [9/22/2023, 3:02:32 PM] [Lay-Z-Spa] Could not retrieve api key. Status 400

arkcolson commented 5 months ago

Any progress on this? Also getting the same error...

I am getting this, and it doesn;t matter what I use as an email or password, I get the error 400 could not retrieve API key and it's clearly not even trying to login. Oddly, the spa is being presented via home bridge, I can turn it on, off, up etc, and it thinks it's doing it, but it's not having any effect. I can login via the proper app any time and note that changes I make via home bridge are not taking effect.
