from this someone can extend this to check which board is used and set the uart num appropriately

This wasn't ready yet and needed review and testing first...

Btw, I will make the next days a new PR for AP+STA, but it needs more testing before. If you don't merge it right away, I can make the pr today so you and other's can test, but it's not ready for production...
