Sockets don't work in windows #31

When building and running this program on windows, the code that interfaces with sockets doesn't work.

This issue has been resolved. The pr is merged now. And I tested the main branch, it builds on my windows machine.

Closing based on merge of #32 and @saifulislampi 's confirmation that the windows build is working on the main branch
