Hey I had the same issue and I was able to solve it, I would leave the steps I follow to fix
Step 1. Install Creative Cloud 5.7.0.1307 or install it from here (https://mega.nz/file/yaZBhDoB#p3nTh7-Bdg3Li1SUaAjcYd33Zh6GCkLJ87LJLtDaW9Y) This link is mine I uploaded the one I installed so do not worry .
Step 2. Before you start, please click uninstall on the installation screen for the old version of Creative.
Step 3. After the installation is done go to /Library/Application Support/Adobe and locate the folder name "Caps" and delete it or send it to Trash. "You can easily go to the location by Holding Shift+Command+G on your desktop."
Step 4. just try to install the Adobe Application you were trying to install before and it should work 100% with no issue.
I just did this and worked 100% for me. if you have any questions add me on Discord 💢FW ᵇᵉᵇᵒ💊#0880

Got it thank you so much! Is there a way for it to stop updating?
@swansongss by going into setting in creative cloud theres an option there to stop from updating but it would cause some issues I just recommend reinstalling old version when ever u need a new Adobe Software

Here is a direct link: https://ccmdl.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/CCD/5_7_0/osx10/ACCCx5_7_0_1307.dmg
would be nice if the script were updated to use the new creative cloud app version instead of us downgrading CC for us who use CC.
As elmimmo points out here what adobe did.. https://github.com/Drovosek01/adobe-packager/issues/57#issuecomment-1513013643
here I found the last ver b4 5.10 Intel: https://trials.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/CCD/5_9_0/osx10/ACCCx5_9_0_373.dmg ARM: https://trials.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/KCCC/CCD/5_9_0/macarm64/ACCCx5_9_0_373.dmg make sure you use Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to nuke the currently installed ver after 5.9.0 & keep auto updates to off.
I used their CC version history to guess what the URL was from analysing the existing URL's also, their subdomain ccmdl does not work for the 5.9.0 release..

basically i installed the offline ae 16.0.1 version and i get the Error: SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unexpected EOF when i try to actually install it, i tried to uninstall creative cloud too but it wont let me bc it says i still have creative cloud applications installed on my laptop that requires it
I see, you can install AntiCC instead, download it from here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/q01nd5grk6m7se8/AntiCC_1.7_%255BRiD%255D.dmg/file Then install this package, the problem should be fixed. :)

okay i downloaded the anticc, so now do i just install the ae all over again and delete the old one that i installed? sorry im not good w these computer stuff
Yeah, install AntiCC, then run the installer again. if you have a previous version of AE, it will be replaced automatically. If you are worried about it, you can uninstall it before you install the new version.

my god worked like an absolute charm thank u so so much the only problem im facing now is that the app literally would not launch open, the icon just pops up then disappears
Can you show us the crash report?
Can you show us the crash report?

i had previously installed a newer version of ae which wouldnt open either but this one would get stuck at the intialising screen instead so maybe that might b something to do w it?
That's strange, try open it from Terminal and see its output, or open Console to see the logs.
im not sure about how to open it from terminal but this is a screenshot of a crash log for the newer v of ae if that helps
and this is the log for the current one im pretty sure? cant open it
Can you show all the crash report detail?
hi.. update im FINALLY able to open ae after days of figuring out what the issue was, turns out i guess there were some files that were messed up and in the end i just safe booted my whole macbook then restarted it, and it solved most of the issues!!
Follow all instruction but my PS 24.6 beta also crash can't launch, I try install few times still the same, anyone can help please :
Strange, did you select the correct platform? And what about other packages?
I followed everything and can't find the file "Caps"
Step 3. After the installation is done go to /Library/Application Support/Adobe and locate the folder name "Caps" and delete it or send it to Trash. "You can easily go to the location by Holding Shift+Command+G on your desktop."
Hi! In my folder there are no files at all whatsoever. So the routine doesn't work. Any suggestions why it's empty or another method?
I don't have it either - so no idea
You do not need to really worry about it, it would work without it.

unfortunately not - I still get this

Nothing to do with Adobe Packager: the crash log clearly shows that you try to run a patched version since "frida-gadget" is loaded. The crash is certainly because of a bad patch, most probably because the patch doesn't match your PS version.
i cant find any folder named "caps"? i think im missing something
There are two Library folders in every version of macOS I've used:
[a] Macintosh HD>Library
and
[b] Macintosh HD>Users>[your username]>Library
"caps" is in [a] so you can find it using only finder and its definitely: Macintosh HD>Library>Application Support>Adobe>caps

I can't find the caps folder anywhere
Go to desktop folder, click cmd + shift + g. Enter /Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps. Remove all files in caps folder
I was able to install Ps by following the steps step by step. However Adobe Create Cloud updates automatically. For another installation of another Adobe application, should I reinstall the previous version Creative Cloud 5.7.0.1307 and follow the same steps? Thank you a thousand

I follow the steps, delete the folder "Caps" try to install the app and this msg appear "Failed with error code 145" any advice?!
To those, like @stackpredict, who still struggle with Creative Cloud constantly attempting to upgrade their apps... Creative Cloud does have, under Preferences, an option to turn off its self-updating facility:
as well as an option for turning off auto-updating the apps:
You can still get notifications for newer versions if you wish (you can also turn them off!), just to remind you that you're out of date ;-)
Something which is quite annoying is that if you have installed any "universal Adobe plugins" — those that work across Adobe applications — and you don't have the latest of the latest versions of all Adobe apps, then the plugins will not work. Of course, app-specific plugins that are installed outside the Creative Cloud environment ("old school" plugins) will continue to work as before.
Whatever I do, no matter what langauge and system locales I get: Error: SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unexpected EOF (-2700)
