Transpiration regions in siteparam_v26.in #13

What is the purpose of these transpiration regions in SOILWAT? How are they used in the model?

Kyle,

They are a 'feature' i dont't like about soilwat. Potential transpiration is based on the region with the most water. I dont know why they are in the model and they were never described in a published paper. I tried to get rid off them but it turned out this would require a major overhaul of soilwat. Maybe they were intended to account for the dynamic soil water uptake behavior plant roots can exhibit??
