Hourglass is a Minecraft Forge mod that gives you control over the passage of time. It allows you to customize the length of the day-night cycle and alters the Minecraft sleep mechanic by accelerating the speed of time.

Feature Request: Option to Sync Villager Mechanics with Custom Day Length #76
I'd like to suggest an enhancement for the Hourglass mod that introduces an option to synchronize villager mechanics, especially related to iron golem spawning, with the customized day length set by the player.
Current Issue
In the default Minecraft setup, villagers need to sleep every 20 minutes to trigger iron golem spawning. This means the villagers only need to sleep once per normal day/night cycle in order to produce iron golems consistently. But, when using the Hourglass mod to extend day lengths beyond this standard duration, iron golem spawning is limited to nightfall and early mornings, leading to decreased efficiency of iron farms during prolonged daytime, especially if you tend to sleep to skip the night.
Proposed Feature
Introduce a configurable option within the Hourglass mod to adjust the villager sleep cycle and subsequent iron golem spawning rate according to the player-defined day length. This feature would dynamically alter the iron golem spawning mechanics to align with the customized day-night cycle, ensuring continuous and balanced iron farm productivity.
Benefits
Ensures consistent iron golem spawning in iron farms regardless of the day length set by the player.
Maintains the balance and functionality of villager-based mechanics in the context of customized time cycles.
Enhances the Hourglass mod's flexibility, catering to a broader range of playstyles and preferences.
This feature would greatly benefit players who customize day lengths for various gameplay reasons, ensuring that core game mechanics like iron farming remain viable and efficient.
