plc dont work for more then 2 meters, and without AC volt #1

hi, I built your electrical circuit, and it only works if I connect the zero of the 5V between the two circuits ?! Why ?

After reviewing your schematic for the PLM design, we found that the GND connection on the RLC filter was missing. See blue annotation. After you made this correction, you're able to get consistent but incorrect messages over the AC power lines. We're in the process of looking for other issues and solutions. image
