Add Member user search does not recognize netid@duke.edu #599

Describe the bug Many people using Kits are coming from Sakai which prefers netid@duke.edu for accounts. This does not work in the name field on the Add New Member page in Kits.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to any kit.
  2. Click on View/Edit roster, Edit Mode
  3. In the name field type in netid@duke.edu where netid is someone's actual netid
  4. No results are found

Expected behavior Users of Sakai would expect to be able to search using netid@duke.edu.

Hey Jolie,

I think we've run across this before. I'm going to tag @outten45 as he may know/remember more on it. From what I remember, IDMS looks up by preferred email, and most people have it set to first.last@duke.edu

hi @noahhh and @joliet - I don't directly remember, but we may need to see if we can search on the scoped netid field. @noahhh, I'll follow up with you to get the endpoint/query and ask about the scoped netid field.
