Combined kit failed to create on kits-test

Describe the bug In testing on kits-test, I impersonated a faculty member and combined two sections of their cross-listed course. The combined kit never created.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to kits-test
2. Impersonate faculty cdr42
3. Click on Create Combined kit
4. Select lecture sections for 001 and 001 of Theory & Al Machine Learning to combine
5. Click Create Combined Kit
6. Name kit
7. Kit does not display on the My Kits page for cdr42

Expected behavior The Combined Kit should display under the category Combined Kits with both kits in the combined kit.

I tested this several faculty on kits-test and combined kit creations seems to be working fine.
