Hello Dunstklinge,

I've found your Pokemon Stadium 2 Randomizer rom hack thanks to Snooplax's "Nintendo 64 Console Compatible Rom Hacks That are Awesome". I was so impressed when I found out that it is console compatible, that I wanted to show it and try it out with my friends, so I've decided to try to download the ROM for it in your github account. Link to the said video is below from 7:15, where Snooplax talked about your ROM hack:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp0Mcx4tBZs&t=0s

When I came to download the zip file for your ROM hack from the link to your github account from the video, however, I couldn't find the main ROM from the file, Stadium2Randomizer.zip. There were many different files in the zip file that I was looking over, but I couldn't find which one of them has the main ROM, as it doesn't appear to be in a aps, bps, mps, mod, ppf, ups, nor xdelta ROM like most ROM hacks do, no matter how many times I've tried to find it via unzipping by ezyZip. Where can I find the main ROM from the Stadium 2 Randomizer, so I could patch it with the US ROM of Pokemon Stadium 2? I hope you understand my issue, and please try to respond as soon as you can, so I may be able to zip the main ROM of your Stadium 2 Randomizer. I would really appreciate your support.

Sincerely, Ken

Hi,

This is not a rom hack in the traditional sense, so you wont find a patch file (like aps, xdelta etc) in here. Would be cool if it worked that way (like the SM64 randomizer). but i lack the time and expertise to create something like that. Instead, this is a regular computer program that acts like a "rom-hack factory". You start the .exe file in the zip folder, give it a regular stadium rom, and it will spit out a randomized rom. That randomized rom can then be played as an n64 game, and will always have the same moves, trainers and stuff. Every time you start the program, it will create a different rom with different moves (unless all settings, including the seed, are exactly the same). The base rom required for this is not part of the zip as distributing it is illegal. Also note that i never tested this on actual hardware, so i can't guarantee that it will work, though i guess snooplax must have tested it if he mentioned it in the video.

Hope that clears up the confusion. If you stil have questions, feel free to ask away.
