playnite is laggy and slow in the sunshine using duo #135

I use Playnite to start games, which works fine in moonlight with normal Sunshine or Gamesteam. However, it's slow and laggy when running from Sunshine managed by Duo. Note that it works fine when the client is running in 1440p, but it's laggy in 4k.

It might seem that this is a Playnite problem, as other games work fine.

On the latest Patreon version, if that matters.

I'm also using Playnite but I don't use the themes because it's too laggy.

Playnite is unusable for me as well (1080p) so I switched fully to Steam Big Picture which is pretty smooth. I used Steam Rom Manager + Legendary Launcher to import the entirety of my Epic library as non-steam games. A pain to setup but it's arguably better than Playnite at the end. Only thing I'm missing is a way to count play time for non-steam games since I no longer use the offical Epic launcher...

How many instances you are running?

I'm running 1 instance from duo and 1 sunshine instance.

I found a similar problem related to Playnite in the following link.

Users with G-Sync monitors or FreeSync-enabled AMD cards may experience UI stuttering https://api.playnite.link/docs/manual/gettingStarted/helpAndTroubleshooting/troubleshooting.html#graphical-and-ui-issues

Just 1 instance besides host. RTX3080 + 48gb RAM so it's not a hardware issue.

I don't think this is related to Duo at all TBH.

Playnite lags the exact same for me on Duo vs running it inside the console session.

IMO this is a environmental issue, Playnite might not like some of the hardware or software in play here, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is yet.

I do own a VRR compatible screen though, so that might play into things here.

I have the same issue as well. Serious lag when using Playnite Fullscreen with any UI movement, but the desktop version works with no lag. Attempted adjusting the internal Playnite settings but had no effect (hardware acceleration, smooth scrolling, asynchronous image loading).

There is no lag when I use the same settings on my primary user account, or on the local account I use for Duo when not logged into the remote instance. Using 1 instance and 1 primary account.
