Having the same issue. In my event log it looks like the MetaData assignment fails causing all the other following setups for the sandbox to fail. I’ve personally tried turning on and off Hyper-V feature, Windows Sandbox, and Windows Virtualization Platform. Did a SFC /scannow to ensure I had no corrupt files. Also uninstalled Duo and reinstalled and restarted multiple times ending up with the same issue. Even made a complete new user and had it as a local admin to ensure it wasn’t a permissions issue with a password with over 8 characters.

Well this is strange, I took the same steps that you did just for testing and... It worked. Here are the steps that I did. Deleted the test user. Create it again but with a 8 characters password. Numbers, upper and lower case letters aswell. Sfc /scannow Unticked windows sandbox from windows features. Restart pc.

Edit: If I connect through parsec to the host session, the old moonlight connection is let's say deprecated because another one appears. 2nd Edit: Parsec connection now doesnt mess up as yesterday, now only disconnects for a second the duo sandbox instance. I’m on windows 23H2 Professional. Don’t know if system specs matter, but here they are i5 12600k 32gb DDR5 ram, RX 6800 XT. I’m on the latest AMD drivers 24.9.1 . I’ve ran just the sandbox instance in case it was to many running at once. Still get no sunshine connection. Also I have my main session running just sunshine outside of DUO with IDD drivers. If there is any other particulars you want to know just ask.

23H2 Home here and all runs fine so far... Wouldn't have greenlit this feature if it didn't work on my local test machines.

If Sandbox support isn't properly enabled on the system then Duo will fall back to a native session.

As for your log, your driver install might be damaged, see here:

It works alright in the non-sandboxed instance (so I don't think gpu driver is the culprit).

Then Microsoft might have forgotten to add that AMD driver library to the Sandbox bindings.

I'll take a look at this once again once #165 is dealt with and if so manually add it to the binding.

That should fix things.

So I have now tried the current build on my laptop with a AMD 4900HX and RTX 2060 and still have the same issue. Build version of windows is WIndows 11 Home 23H2 22631.4169 . I am putting an image of the error in the event log I am getting on both my main computer and now my laptop.

Sandbox mode is not working for me as well @Black-Seraph. Running Windows 11 23H2.

Same problem as the other guys, I'm not getting any Sunshine connection. The browser never loads and also Moonlight can't find my session. I know it's Sandbox mode what's broken because if I uncheck the option, the sessions starts fine and I'm able to connect through Moonlight and all.

It seems like pretty much everyone in this thread having issues with Sandbox mode in Windows 23H2 is using an AMD graphics card (6700XT, 6800XT and 6900XT in this thread alone).
