I've been using Duo for about a week, primarily for local game streaming. I've set it up with the credentials for the only local account on my PC, and everything works fine for playing games through Moonlight.
However, I've encountered a few issues:
Duplicate NVIDIA Broadcast Webcam Feeds: I see two instances of my webcam—one labeled "normal" and another labeled "Virtual." This might be a minor issue, but it's a bit confusing.
Duplicate Services on Login: I have several services that launch when I log in, such as my keyboard software, Syncthing, and others. Since Duo starts another instance of my user, it seems to launch all of these services twice. For example, I get Syncthing errors when using Steam via Moonlight, and I can't open apps like Microsoft Edge through RDP if they're already open in another instance.
Steam Issues: Occasionally, I've seen Steam exiting unexpectedly on my host machine. As if it closes as soon as it launches on the virtual instance.
App Installation Problems: I can't install apps from the Microsoft Store. This might be unrelated to Duo and due to the 24H2 update, but I'm unsure if there's any overlap.
Is there a recommended setup to avoid these duplicate processes or to prevent services from launching twice? I thought about using Task Scheduler, but since Duo logs me in twice, it would trigger these services on both logins. Any guidance would be appreciated.
1.4.9 doesnt work correctly on 24H2 as of yet. The issue is identified and @Black-Seraph is working on fixes. Try using 1.4.8 for now but first follow the restore steps in the other issue #164
