i know you guys don't deal with this, but the media player out there that reads
external Hard Drives has the same problem, so this may be a Wii issue or
software
issue overall, hope this helps you.

I've never had a problem like that with Mplayer CE before. The issue you link
to
also has nothing to do with the issue I describe here. The one you link is
more of a
feature request.

they might not be the exact same issue, but could be looked into to help solve
the
problem here.

Do any of you experiencing this problem have a hacked IOS?

Well, I have the Mplayer CE one since I wanted to use USB2.0 for videos and
such.
(IOS202 if I remember).

Ah wait, I'm sorry, that was it actually (installed the 'regular' DVDx as a
test).
See, I was using it with the older DVDx since I have a modchip (kind of a waste
of
money since I got it for imports and you can just use GeckoOS for that now) so
Wii64
would probably have been loading that. I didn't realize that would be a
problem.

Huh, nevermind...new DVDx works fine with the chip and the new MPlayer CE
doesn't
require it to be tied to DVDx anymore. I'm really sorry, I hadn't even thought
of
that being the problem, so it's my fault there.

Actually, wait...no the new DVDx doesn't (assuming Wii64 works with it). Ah
well. I
guess it's my fault anyway and I should just deal with it.

Got it to cooperate fine by using the official PatchMii IOS254 and the older
DVDx. I
hope that some other solution presents itself though so I can start using the
newer
DVDx (I feel like this is getting kind of cludgy). Anyway, once again, sorry.
I feel
like an idiot.

I think in the future USB 2 will be supported in the future by using something
like
DVDx so there won't be a need for hacking IOS for it. Thanks for confirming
that
this was not our issue.
