Addon is Deprecated #352

Due to recent updates on the website, I've decided to deprecate this addon and build a new better one. stay tuned!

EDIT: The new addon is now available via both repo and under its own guthub. Please refer to https://github.com/DxCx/plugin.video.wonderfulsubs

My heart cries as 9anime is the best addon and the site has anime all others do not. Due to my situation browsers are not an option and kodi is the solutoon. I totally understand your frustration and the site is to blame. You do you and I will wait for your solution and I wish you luck. Can't happen fast enough but that life :)

What site are you going to use? I assume 9anime is off the table so which one are you going to use?

Yeah that might be the best option for him, I have Masterani covered and I assume he doesn't want to lose the dub options he has so GoGo is probably it. If they need any help I'll be happy to lend a hand. @DxCx

GoGoAnime episodes aren't that stable i tried watching an episode of one piece and all of their links were down.

That may be true but from DxCx's perspective, it makes the most sense it is the closest you can get to 9anime, so it will be the easiest to develop.

How about Anime Twist (https://twist.moe)? They provide closed API for outsiders and videos are played in MP4 without any issues. It should be quite easy to do. How about it?

Damn that anime twist site runs 1080 on every show pretty smooth. Too bad can’t find an addon for it. Getting excited for this new project tho

Anime twist is legit, I tried to add it to Masterani Redux but couldn't find any documentation for the API. If I could find some I'd add it as a potential source.

I just contacted them about getting access to the API for Masterani Redux. I haven't heard back to them yet, I'm just hoping they are reasonable about Kodi, ads aren't an issue considering they don't run them, I'd like to have their links as they are always solid, so especially on some shows, it would be nice to have them for my addon. If I can get access then I'm sure they will be cool with you getting it.

Well I have helped this plugin before and that was only to edit something that needed fixing so I think I should wait until it's completed to help the new plugin out but if you need an extra hand I'll see what I could do.

I am happy to hear all of this great news.I am sad this plugin is dead, I have a ton of links and they had alot of New anime as well. Masterani has been my savings Grace for now. I hope we have a new plugin soon and I am happy to beta test, wink wink. Sorry having with drawls from my anime. I wish I could help but I am afraid my coding skills are of little help here. I could offer some money, Maybe enough for a cup of coffee, unless you like Starbucks, then maybe not.

@RedNinjaX and @DxCx Is there now or will there be a way for us to make feature requests? Since this being started from the ground up, now would be a good time to make some; don't you think?

1) I liked the concept of the random anime button someone had said they had made before. 2) A download feature would be awesome. I don't always have internet access and if I am going to be on a trip, flying, etc. It would be nice to download a few things to watch. 3) A newest episode and newest anime filter so we can see any new anime that were released or added. And we can see what the newest episodes are without having to dig through each anime. 4) A genre filter would be awesome 5) A lookup/display of both Japanese names and English names; (sorry but sometimes I know one, other times the other) 6) Not just sub and dub list, but also uncensored where available. Censoring is good when the kids are home, but nothing beats the original unedited version, they tend to be better; or, at least a lot funnier (in my own opinion) 7) Show descriptions as well as episode descriptions please. I don't read Japanese and picture of the show can be very misleading. 8) Can we have an option to save our Layouts? (I like having it in the tri-panel view and hate having to always switch views) 9) Saved searches, I might not always favorite something and can forget that I may have already searched for something and not retyping it out again is always nice. 10) On Masterani Redux, when you pause a video, a screen overlay comes up with the Title, episode, year, run time, and episode/show description. I like that feature, I think it is really slick looking and handy when someone says, what's this and you pause to tell them; now it is all already there.

I apologize for the length and the presumptuous of my suggestions. I don't think I could pull any of this of myself, and I hope you don't take offense to my forwardness.

  1. Yeah that should be easy
  2. While technically possible with some of our sources, only @DxCx could answer if that's possible through the plugin or if he wants to do that

@d1arkstar I'll ask DxCx about that as if anything that would have to be saved locally in the plugin as I don't have an accounts system setup yet (on my to-do list)

Does this addon only work on 18 & not 17.6 cause every time i try to watch a dub anime(no matter what it is)it gives me a error message?

Masterani is not tailored to dubbed anime users, none of the dubbed links work unfortunately

What really sucks is none of my favorites work anymore and I will have to go back and recapture them all in the new plugin. :(

But on the plus side, since this one should be more stable, I should have less issues with finding something to watch. ;)

The new addon is really nice and the team are working very hard on it, trust me you will not be disappointed when they get it finished, obviously it is a new addon and is taking some time but that is only because the coders are working so hard to make it work as flawless as possible and everyone involved in its creation have jobs so cant dedicate 24/7 to it (trust me they try anyhow lol)

I have small request, its nothing major. Is it possible to have fan art popup in the back ground with info wall. Similar to Placenta/Incursion/Neptune Rising. For example you can look at this video and pause at the beginning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjby-Tu07-w

There are no working sub/dub anime addon presently that have good layout that can be implementation into a build. Thank you all so much for all your effort that you pouring into this project!

@Fakenews1729 there's already something like that implemented. Although I'd love for DxCx to make a layout that nice looking I don't think that's really a priority of his atm but who knows, maybe in a future update.

A local favorites or watch list as noted above is a big deal and great feature and one I relish in masterani and other addons

Please tell me we at least have MAL+Kitsu intergration coming to the new addon.
