When I use Py'n'APL on my Windows 10 machine, from within the Python side, the Dyalog interpreter window opens and just stays there until I close my Python REPL.
fixed in https://github.com/Dyalog/pynapl/pull/23 by starting Dyalog with RIDE_SPAWNED=1
