A foldable tree view of the notes

It would be nice to have a clear, visual representation of the Zettel's hierarchy. The Luhman's numbers (ids) are quite complex and could be long. Some notes could have many descendants thus making siblings of the given note not so easily, visually distinguishable while scanning the Zettelkasten cards, which is so important in the process of incorporating new cards. The foldable tree would make it much easier and faster, even having an advantage over a paper Zettelkasten.

Solution

The plugin displays a foldable tree view, like a typical folder structure in any OS. Additionally, there are some buttons available: add a sibling, add a child, fold/unfold everything, and display the next/previous note.

You can use Excalibrain to help visualize the linkages. I also included an 'Idea Compass' on each Zettel so I could show like, opposite, leads to. I've color coded the links in Excalibrain to match what is in my template for a Zettel.
