Operating system

(win 10)

What did you do?

(inputting anything in design script crashes dynamo )

What did you expect to see?

(input)

What did you see instead?

(crash)

mjkkirschner commented 6 years ago

@dnegi123 please provide the stack trace which specifies the exception that is thrown so we can help - and any sample files that replicate the issue (or a description of how to reproduce) Does the crash happen with only one node in the graph? etc.

dnegi123 commented 6 years ago

Hi @mjkkirschner i reinstalled the stable version 1.3.1 (earlier was 1.3.2) last night , now its working fine .So don't have any sample files or stack trace . It was like inputting anything in the design script or just trying to open/edit a pythonscript would crash dynamo.

dnegi123 commented 6 years ago

Actually its crashing again(even though I have 1.3.1 now)....Could it be because of some packages... Here's the error

Similar crash while opening pythonscript:

mjkkirschner commented 6 years ago

yes, please look at the green notifications you have in the dynamo menu. Some revit addin or dynamo package is loading an incompatible version of avalonEdit.dll which does not have this method.

dnegi123 commented 6 years ago

Thanks @mjkkirschner . I uninstalled one of the addins (pyrevit) and now its working fine . Which means I can't use both at the same time .Wonder if others are getting the same error ? But anyway thanksalot for the tip

QilongTang commented 6 years ago

@dnegi123 Other people are definitely in the same boat. This kind of 3rd party dll conflict is an issue all Revit Addins sharing right now. Revit team is aware of this situation as well and fixes are on the way in Revit 2019. Closing this issue, sorry that you could not use the two addins at the same time.
