Wish: Optional Timed Save Reminder #180

I'd like to propose a new save feature to bothe Dynamo Core as well as Dynamo Revit: and optional timed Save reminder.

For reference, I've made a post over on the Dynamo Forum about this as well.

What improvement/feature would you like to see in Dynamo?

Optional Timed Save Reminder/Toggleable Option to Force Save after X amount of minutes, that an unsaved graph is open in the editor.

How would you see this improvement/feature working?

A simple ON/OFF option in the [Settings] dropdown, with an advanced setting with a user-editable value. Said value will act as the number of minutes will pass by before a save dialog pops up, asking the user to name/save the current Dyn.

Please provide any sketch/mock-up or video of your requested improvement/feature

I may be the only one, but I tend to fire up Dynamo intending to throw together a quick concept Dyn. On numerous occasions I may throw enough data into a node, which will result in Dynamo crashing and losing all of my Dyn progress thus far. I'd like to suggest a feature that would help combat this potential future loss of progress. However, I feel that there may be users who would prefer to not interact with such a feature, therefore I think it to be important that the user should be able to opt out of this feature.

I apologize, as I am unsure how to assign the proper Labels to this issue.

@Fluffy347 Hi, as an alternative, do you know how to leverage the backup mechanism from Dynamo? If that's not clear, before our team consider this as a feature, maybe the team should emphasize a bit more on the backup feature

@QilongTang I honestly forgot that there was a backup system in Dynamo, before your reply. Do you have a link that would go over the backup mechanism? If not I can use the big G and search for some info
